Living Light

Photographs of animals that absorb short-wavelength light and re-emit at longer wavelengths — the hidden colour beneath the apparent one. The work began with coral under ultraviolet and has grown, slowly and by accident, into what is now the largest collection of biofluorescent photographs of mammals in the world. Each image here is evidence of something that was already happening, just without witnesses.
